HP 9000 Printers

  1. Turn the printer off
  2. Press and hold the
  3. CHECK key
  4. Power on the printer
  5. Release the
  6. CHECK key after all three lights come on The display should read SELECT LANGUAGE
  7. Press the up arrow until
  8. MAINTENANCE KIT is displayed, then press the CHECK key again and the maintenance kit count has been reset

HP 8000/8100/8150 Printers

  • Press the
  • MENU button until the display reads CONFIGURATION MENU
  • Press the
  • ITEM button until the display reads SERVICE MESSAGE = ON/OFF
  • Select
  • OFF*
  • Press
  • SELECT to save
  • Turn printer off
  • Hold the
  • VALUE MINUS and ITEM MINUS buttons while turning the printer back on Hold buttons down until display reads RESET MAINT/COUNTand

    HP 4500/4550 Printers

    1. Turn the printer off
    2. Hold down the
    3. CANCEL JOB and SELECT keys and turn the printer on, then wait until the display goes blank and the three LED's come on
    4. Press the right side of the
    5. MENU key, then press the SELECT key
    6. You will enter
    7. SERVICE MODE after the normal test completes
    8. Press the
    9. ITEM key until the FUSER MAINTENANCE COUNT appears
    10. Press
    11. VALUE +/- to change to zero
    12. Press
    13. SELECT to save
    14. Press
    15. GO; the printer should return to READY

    HP 4000/4050/4100/5000 Printers:

    1. Turn the printer off
    2. Hold down the left side of the
    3. ITEM and VALUE +/- keys, turn the printer on and wait
      until
      RESET MAINTENANCE COUNT is displayed and then release the keys

    HP IIISi Printers:

    1. Press
    2. ONLINE until the light goes off
    3. Hold down
    4. MENU until PCL CONFIG MENU appears
    5. Press the
    6. MENU key until SERVICE MSG=ON* appears
    7. Press the
    8. + or - key to change display to SERVICE MSG=OFF
    9. Press
    10. ENTER/RESET MENU key to turn message off, the * should appear, then press ONLINE

    Canon MP390

    1)Printer on, press Additional Functions, Scan, Copy, Scan
    Now you should be in service mode from there for waste ink tank reset it is simalar to what has already been posted

    2)Select Test mode which is like the last avalabe selection
    3)Select #8 Printer Test, it will do something here like cleaning or something then it will come up with some other option this is where it gets a bit confusing cause now all it says is like 8-2 or 8-3 push the + or - button until it says 8-3 then hit the select button

    The menu will now say EEPRON Clear
    Select Ink count which is option (0) and press set

    Then press Stop/Reset Followed by the power button and then wait for it to restart.

    Canon MP160 , MP145 Error Codes

    Error Code :
    E2-2 = No paper (ASF)
    E3-3 = Paper jam
    E4 = No ink
    E5-5 = The ink cartridges are not installed or a non-supported ink cartridge is installed, or the ink cartridges are not installed properly
    E8 = Waste ink absorber full, or platen waste ink absorber full
    E9 = The connected digital camera / video camera does not support Camera Direct Printing
    E14 = The Ink cartridges whose destination are wrong
    E15 = Ink cartridge is not installed E16 - Ink remaining is unknown
    E16 -E19 = Failed to scan head alignment sheet

    Reset Waste Ink
    1) Enter SERVICE MODE.
    By pressing Menu, Copy, Scan, Copy, Copy
    2) Select TEST MODE.
    3) Select [8] PRINTER TEST in TEST MODE.
    4) Select 3. [EEPROM CLEAR].
    5) Select 0. [INK COUNT].
    6) Press the [Set] key.
    7) Press the [Stop/Reset] key (returning to the state of 3)), and then press the [ON/OFF] key.

    Canon BJC-5000

    1: Power off printer
    2: Press and hold RESUME then press POWER, The indicator will start blinking.
    3: While the indicator is blinking , Press RESUME twice then Wait until the printer beeps to indicate service mode
    5: When the indicator lights steady GREEN, press RESUME four(4)times. The indicator should be GREEN.
    6: Press Power to set data

    1: Power off printer
    2: Press and hold RESUME then press POWER, The indicator will start blinking.
    3: While the indicator is blinking , Press RESUME twice then Wait until the printer beeps to indicate service mode

    1: Power off printer
    2: Press and POWER, until the printer beeps and release.
    Demonstration Print
    1: While the printer in ON , , Press and hold RESUME until the printer plays a melody of beeps.

    1. Unplug Power Cord
    2. Hold POWER and RESUME buttons

    6. Hold the CARTRIDGE and RESUME buttons

    8. Release all buttons after the beeps
    9. Press CARTRIDGE once
    10. Press RESUME

    How to Reset Canon BJC 1000 Series

    1: Remove Cartridge
    2: Unplug the AC Power Cord
    3: Hold down the RESUME button
    4: Release RESUME after plugging in the AC Power cord.
    5: Press the RESUME once within 5 seconds and release the RESUME .
    6: Press and HOLD RESUME for two seconds or more and release it.
    7: Press and HOLD RESUME for two seconds or more and release it.
    8: Unplug AC Power Cord to set data.

    Canon S200SPx

    1. Without the cartridge installed and with the front cover closed, connect the AC cord
    while holding down the RESET button.

    2. Release the RESET button, press it down again within less than 5 sec and before the
    cartridge carrier starts to move and make a sound (this is critical timing, if you hear the
    printer, you are too late. Start again - they don't tell you this in tha manual, it is a
    given)

    3. Hold down the RESET button for 2 sec or more and realease it once again.

    4. EEPROM reset - Quickly again and before the printer satrts to move and make more sounds,
    hold down the RESET button for 2 secs or more and release it.

    How to Reset Canon PIXMA iP1200, 1300, 1500, 1600, 1700, 1800

    Canon PIXMA iP1200, 1300, 1500, 1600, 1700, 1800
    Waste Ink Counter Reset.
    Step 1: Manual for Service mode
    Start with the printer OFF
    1.
    Unplug power and USB.
    2. Hold down POWER and plugin the cable power
    3. press RESUME twice, then release POWER
    4. Let green light blink until printer is done blinking

    step 2 : Software for Permanant

    2.Open General Tools software and select (USB PORT)
    3 .Choose (SET DESTINATION 1) And it should be reset.

    Canon MP145 Resetter Program

    If you’re having trouble with your printer that says Service Error 5001. This usually occurs when your canon printer has reach its maximum prints, it needs to be reset using a special program or do it manually.

    You can find procedures or steps on how to reset your printer counter on many websites. Try using google to find those sites. Beware that resetting your printer might cause some sort of damage on the firmware and stop printer from functioning. Do it with your own risk. Good Luck!

    With the printer powered off but connected to a power source , you must:

    A) Press stop/reset button, and then press [ON/OFF] button to restart
    B) Press [ON/OFF] again and then press twice the stop/reset button.
    C) Press [ON/OFF] & Stop/reset button together, this time to enter the repair status and power lights will be green,
    D) Press stop/reset button 4x and warning lights will be go out in [ON/OFF]button.
    E) Turn off the printer.( it must be turn off) and then turn it on again.
